Saltire Facilities Management extend relationship with Prospect Community Housing with award of two new contracts

Saltire Facilities Management is celebrating the extension of a long-standing relationship with the Edinburgh-based social landlord, Prospect Community Housing. The new contracts have been awarded to coincide with the end of a current 5-year contract which has been successfully delivered by Saltire since 2019.

Saltire, one of Scotland’s largest gas and electrical contracting businesses, specialises in providing home heating and power maintenance and repair services to the social housing sector across the Central Belt, and the rest of Scotland.

The first of the two contracts, a gas servicing, repair, and maintenance contract, will see the experienced Saltire team continue to deliver work across the 900 tenant homes belonging to Prospect Community Housing over a minimum 3-year term, with the option to extend for two 12-month periods. Saltire have successfully retained this work, as they approach the end of an initial 5-year period delivering this work.

The second of the two contracts, awarded to Saltire via the quick-quote procurement system, will see Saltire complete the installation of 46 heating systems across the Prospect Community Housing stock.

Saltire Facilities Management drives charity support at annual golf day

One of Scotland’s leading gas and electrical contracting businesses, Bellshill-based Saltire Facilities Management, tee’d off another Summer of charity at its annual corporate golf day on Friday. The company event which has been running for over a decade, raises money for long-standing charity partner, St. Andrews Hospice.

Saltire, which delivers central heating and electrical services on behalf of local authority, social housing and private sectors, decided to drive forward their generosity this year by adding a second beneficiary, Beatson Cancer Charity, with all funds raised for at the Golf Day for St. Andrews Hospice, matched by the business.

The event which took place on Friday 14th July at Airdrie Golf Course saw Saltire employees, supplier representatives, and customers come together to raise money for the two worthy causes. The event raised a total of £2,130, which was matched by Saltire.

St. Andrews Hospice, a specialist palliative care service operating in Lanarkshire, provides support for those with life-limiting illnesses, and their families and has been a beneficiary of the charity efforts of Saltire for many years.

Beatson Cancer Charity offers wrap-around support for those affected by cancer, including the sufferer, and their families. The charity was recently adopted by Saltire after two employees were diagnosed with the disease, and are currently receiving treatment.

Speaking of the golf day, Saltire Engineering Supervisor and organiser of the event, Frankie Gallagher commented; “It is great to be able to continue supporting St. Andrews Hospice, and extend this support to Beatson too, as a team we love getting behind charitable organisations and supporting the great work that they do. On behalf of Saltire, I wish to extend our appreciation to everyone who supported the Golf Day and both of our chosen charity partners, the money raised will get put to great use.”

Saltire Facilities Management awarded electrical contract with Bield Housing Association

One of Scotland’s largest and most successful gas and electrical contracting businesses is today celebrating another contract win by its Electrical division. The North Lanarkshire based company has been awarded a three-year fixed wiring inspections contract from existing client Bield Housing Association following a competitive tender process.

Saltire, who are currently delivering a gas maintenance contract for the clients, a contract they have been working on since 2021, announced the new contract award which will see the firm deliver electrical inspection works across the Central and Oban region, with a contract value of approximately £320,000.

Bield Housing Association, one of the largest housing support providers in Scotland, with over 4,600 properties under-ownership, has continued it’s relationship with the Bellshill contractor, which will last a minimum of another three years.

Saltire Facilities Management continues growth with multiple contract wins

Specialist maintenance and facilities management business, Bellshill headquartered Saltire Facilities Management confirms continued growth with double contract win announcement. The go-to social housing contractor has today confirmed new contracts with existing clients; Almond Housing Association and Maryhill Housing Association.

Saltire who first started working with Almond Housing Association in 2021 when they were awarded a large boiler replacement and heating upgrade contract from the West Lothian housing provider, have been rewarded for their successful delivery of the works, with a new short-term ventilation improvement contract worth approximately £55,000 to the North Lanarkshire contractor.

Maryhill Housing Association, the North-West Glasgow social landlord, which currently owns over 3,000 properties, has turned to Saltire for the servicing of it’s air source heat pumps, as it continues to upgrade heating systems with alternative and sustainable heating solutions. The contract, which will last three years with an option to extend for a further two single year periods, is estimated to be worth £95,000, and bolsters Saltire’s position as the leading renewables contractor in Scotland.

North Lanarkshire headquartered gas and central heating specialist, Saltire Facilities Management has today announced another new contract win to deliver heating works for the social housing sector. The contract, to complete central heating system replacements for Trust Housing Association, is the latest in a string of new contract wins announced by Saltire.
Saltire, who have delivered domestic gas servicing and maintenance works in properties managed by the social housing provider under an existing contract since 2017, will continue their partnership under the new contract to deliver works in their properties in Newmilns, East Ayrshire.

Saltire Facilities Management awarded gas maintenance contract by Glasgow social housing provider, Queens Cross Housing Association

The Scottish gas and central heating specialist, Saltire Facilities Management, continues to celebrate on-going success as it announces another public sector contract award, a four-year gas maintenance servicing contract for Glasgow social housing provider, Queens Cross Housing Association.
Under the contract Saltire will maintain gas central heating systems across the housing associations estate, which spans nearly 2,800 homes in an area that stretches north from Glasgow city centre, along either side of the Forth and Clyde Canal. Work under the contract, which was awarded following a competitive tender process will commence at the beginning of April and is worth approximately £800,000.

Saltire reaffirms position as one of the leading renewables contractors in Scotland with £9million contract award

Glasgow-headquartered property service provider, Saltire Facilities Management, has continued to expand its renewable energy division with the award of a large battery storage and solar PV multi-term contract, cementing its position as one of the leading renewables installation, service, and maintenance companies in Scotland.

The contract, won by Saltire after a competitive tender process was awarded by long-standing client, North Lanarkshire Council, and will span a three-year period with work due to commence this month. Saltire Facilities Management, one of the largest gas central heating businesses in the UK, specialises in the social housing sector, and currently works with clients across Scotland and the Midlands of England.

Under the contract the Bellshill-based business will install battery storage systems and solar PV panels to properties within the North Lanarkshire Council housing stock, and is part of North Lanarkshire Council’s commitment to decarbonising their housing stock and improving sustainability of their properties, whilst reducing energy bills for their tenants.

Electrical Engineering Manager, Stevie Kerrigan, who has overall operational responsibility for the delivery of the contract commented; “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by North Lanarkshire Council.
